Translations for the homeopathy sector

Homeopathy is one of the most widespread forms of alternative and complementary medicine. Based on principles like dilution and dynamisation, it mustn’t be confused with phytotherapy or herbal medicine – which use herbs, seeds, leaves or molecules extracted from these in concentrations comparable to those of conventional medicines (allopathic medicine or allopathy), and without applying homeopathic succussion, i.e. the shaking of the substance in order to prepare it. Rather, homeopathic medicine is closely associated with homotoxicology or anti-homotoxic homeopathy, in which homeopathy supplements traditional medicine in order to treat the effects of toxins that harm the human body (homotoxins). It also has lots of similarities with oligotherapy, another holistic discipline based on the administration of minimal quantities of trace elements. Homeopathy is also one of the disciplines included in integrated medicine, a form of medicine that combines traditional diagnostic tests and conventional or allopathic treatments with a careful selection of alternative or “mild” treatments which in some clinical cases prove to be more appropriate (acupuncture, osteopathy, chiropractic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, etc.). Homeopathic remedies, deriving from the processing of a basic active ingredient or stock (of animal, vegetable or mineral origin), come in various forms: granules/globules, mother tinctures, drops, ointments, creams, vials, tablets, capsules, washes, suppositories. They all share the principle of similia similibus curantur, i.e. the simultaneously toxicological and therapeutic action of a highly diluted and dynamised quantity of a substance. Landoor has long-standing partnerships with several producers and distributors of homeopathic and anthroposophic remedies. The most frequent activities undertaken by our translators relate to the distribution of products from France, Switzerland and Germany (the country where homeopathy was born in the first half of the 19th century on the basis of the principles of German doctor Samuel Hahnemann). The role of our mother tongue translators that specialise in pharmacology and homeopathy is to provide accurate translations of:

  • Primary packaging materials (packs, labels) of homeopathy remedies;
