A Global Advisory Company specialising in business-critical situations, public relations and communications came to Landoor for an urgent multi-language global press release.
Overview
The Italian office of a major Global Advisory Company specialising in business-critical situations, public relations, and communications, came to Landoor for the translation of a strategic and highly important press release into multiple languages for an international client coming from the educational & research sector.
The challenge
As with any press release, the project had a tight-turnaround time and needed to be translated in a secure, professional, top-quality, and fast manner, bearing in mind specific educational and research terminology and tone of voice. The exact time to receive the press release was unclear, so a project manager was put on stand-by, as well as the translator and proofreading teams in each of the language combinations.
How Landoor helped
Landoor appointed a team of linguists specialising in the translation of press release content for each of the language combinations, English into German, French, Spanish and Dutch. Due to the tight-turnaround and length of the press release, 4 pages including approximately 2,000 words, the translator and proofreading teams were set-up and put on standby. This was especially crucial for the Client, as the project had to be completed and delivered before a midweek Bank Holiday in some of the countries, thus saving costs and time.
The dedicated Client Relationship Manager was in constant contact with the client during the weekend before the press release, working together with the dedicated Project Management Team at Landoor. Style guides, preferred terminology and reference material were all set up and integrated into our secure translation memory and project management platforms. Our proprietary Door24 TMS (Translation Management System) solution ensured maximum efficiencies related to project receipt, cost savings and lead times.
The result
Landoor ensured that the project and turnaround was fast, accurate and cost-effective in all the language combinations and according to the specific industry and press release content, key focus, and message. The press release was received very early on the Tuesday morning and delivered back to the client late afternoon the following day, as per their deadline. The feedback received from the client, and their in-country representatives, was extremely good and positive especially for that related to the initial timely response to the client from Landoor on a Saturday afternoon and for ensuring an exceptional level of project management, quality, and delivery times.
Client feedback
Some of the client feedback included ‘’All the in-country colleagues were very happy about your translations’’ – ‘’I really appreciated the timely response and delivery of the work’’ – ‘’Moreover, all the people from your team were very professional and careful in offering the best service to us.’’
